Three hours doesn't cut it anymore.

Background and Objective
Sepsis “bundles” are sets of interventions that have been shown to improve outcomes for sepsis and are essential process measures for quality improvement. Based on evidence of improved outcomes with earlier fluids and antibiotics, the Surviving Sepsis Campaign has developed a new, 1-hour sepsis bundle. The clock starts when the patient first presents with sepsis or at the time of first documentation of all components of sepsis (as defined by 2016 Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines) or septic shock.
Authors of the 2016 guidelines have revised the 3- and 6-hour bundles into a single 1-hour bundle.
