Recent data regarding pregnancy among HIV-infected women have been encouraging, showing low rates of vertical transmission (ACC Mar 10 2008) and good clinical outcomes for both mothers and infants (ACC Nov 13 2006). From 1985 through 2006, 192 HIV-infected women were seen at this clinic for a total of 230 pregnancies.
