Case reports suggest that ritonavir-boosted atazanavir, like indinavir, may cause kidney stones: Atazanavir has been identified in crystal precipitates within renal tubules, and stones from patients who are taking this agent have been shown to contain 40% to 100% atazanavir by weight.
