The paper “Ileal-lymphoid-nodular hyperplasia, non-specific colitis, and pervasive developmental disorder in children” by Wakefield and colleagues, which appeared in the Lancet in February 1998, was formally retracted by the publishers in 2010 after multiple claims in the original article were found to be incorrect.
