The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices reviews the adult immunization schedule annually. This year, no new vaccines have been added to the list, which currently comprises tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis, human papillomavirus, varicella, herpes zoster, measles/mumps/rubella, influenza, hepatitis A and B, pneumococcal, and meningococcal vaccines.
Complete immunization schedules are provided. As in 2008, the report recommends one-time administration of Tdap (tetanus/diphtheria/acellular pertussis) instead of Td (tetanus/diphtheria) booster for adults who have not previously received a dose of Tdap and then boosting with Td every 10 years.
