The article “Top Cardiology Stories of 2007,” which was published online on December 28, 2007, contained an error.
The fifth sentence in the third paragraph read, “This article, along with inconclusive results from RECORD, a manufacturer-funded randomized trial of rosiglitazone that was halted early because of safety concerns, led the FDA to add a black-box warning to the drug’s label.”
This sentence should have read, “This article, along with inconclusive early results from RECORD, a manufacturer-funded randomized trial of rosiglitazone, led the FDA to add a black-box warning to the drug’s label.” The corrected version now appears on our website.
