Despite several trials, effective evidence-based therapies for patients with heart failure and preserved LV systolic function remain frustratingly elusive. Investigators for the Study of Effects of Nebivolol Intervention on Outcomes and Rehospitalization in Seniors with Heart Failure (SENIORS) assessed the efficacy of the vasodilating beta-1 receptor blocker nebivolol in adults aged ≥70 with heart failure and a broad range of LV systolic function.
