These authors reviewed data concerning the value of the tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) antagonists rituximab and anakinra for treating systemic autoimmune diseases, including Behçet disease, sarcoidosis, vasculitides (including Wegener granulomatosis), Sjögren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome.
