Anaplastic large cell lymphomas (ALCLs) are either primarily cutaneous (cALCL) or systemic with secondary cutaneous manifestations (sALCL). Clinical presentation and immunohistochemical and genetic studies are used to distinguish between these two forms. The absence of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), which is an end product of the t(2;5)(p23;q35) translocation, has been used to diagnose cALCL. Now, these authors present a case of ALK-positive cALCL.
