A granulomatous reaction is frequently seen in certain systemic lymphomas but in only 2% of cutaneous lymphomas. Granulomatous mycosis fungoides (GMF) is the most common form of granulomatous cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, whereas the MF subtype granulomatous slack skin (GSS) is rare. Members of the EORTC Cutaneous Lymphoma Histopathology Task Force retrospectively studied 19 patients (15 with GMF and 4 with GSS) to characterize the clinicopathologic, therapeutic, and prognostic significance of the granulomatous reaction in MF.
