Follicular center lymphomas (FCLs) are neoplastic proliferations of centrocytes and centroblasts — cells normally localized in the center of the lymphoid follicle. This lymphoma may present with a follicular, diffuse, or mixed growth pattern. These authors performed a retrospective study of 24 patients (19 male; median age, 57) to assess the early clinicopathologic manifestations of primary cutaneous FCL (PCFCL) and their implications.
The clinical presentation of early lesions showed solitary or cluster papules or nodules on the trunk, arm, and scalp; in three cases, papules appeared far from the larger area of involvement.
