Abobotulinum toxin A may spread differently than other botulinum toxin types; effects associated with different concentrations of this type have not been as well studied as onabotulinum toxin A differences, due to its relatively newer use. These authors performed a split-face comparison of two dilutions in 10 patients with moderately severe dynamic rhytids. Each patient received 6 units of abobotulinum toxin A diluted in 0.1 mL of sterile preserved saline solution to one side of the face and 6 units diluted in 0.3 mL to the other.
