Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a known complication of cirrhosis, and it is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. The lesser end of the spectrum of this disease is minimal HE (MHE), which is a neuropsychological entity that is characterized by delayed reaction time and abnormal response inhibition.
