Helicobacter pylori infection plays an important role in the development and progression of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Eradication of the infection in patients with low-grade lymphoma can result in endoscopic and histologic remission. The optimal therapy is unclear for patients who exhibit endoscopic, but not histologic, resolution of their tumors after successful H. pylori eradication.
