The American College of Radiology has stated that polyps ≤5 mm on computed tomography colonography should not be reported, that patients with one or two 6- to 9-mm polyps can be offered follow-up surveillance by CT colonography in 3 years rather than polypectomy, and that patients with polyps ≥1 cm should undergo colonoscopy and polypectomy.
