The potential adverse interaction between clopidogrel and proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) has been a topic of much concern (JW Gastroenterol May 21 2010). In fact, the FDA recently reiterated an advisory warning about the risk of adverse cardiovascular events associated with the concomitant use of clopidogrel and the PPI omeprazole.
