i-SCAN Improves Polyp Differentiation but Not Detection

Previous studies of electronic chromoendoscopy techniques (specifically, Narrow-Band Imaging from Olympus Corporation, the Fujinon Intelligent Chromoendoscopy system, and i-SCAN from Pentax) have suggested that all three were effective for polyp histology differentiation but only i-SCAN was effective for adenoma detection. However, fewer data have been available to evaluate i-SCAN than the other two technologies.
