This retrospective analysis describes improvement in outcomes of pediatric epilepsy surgery in a series of patients treated at the University of California, Los Angeles, Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Program. Researchers assessed 192 operations performed between 1986 and 1997 and 379 performed between 1998 and 2008. The authors documented and compared preoperative data, details of the surgical procedures, and postoperative seizure frequency in the two cohorts. The researchers did not adjust for multiple comparisons in the univariate analysis but did perform a multivariate analysis.
