New EPOCH in Lymphoma Therapy

A chemoimmunotherapy regimen for patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma showed high remission rates and durable responses in a phase II study.

Adding rituximab (R) to CHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone) chemotherapy results in better response rates and longer survival in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). However, based on clinical features, phenotypic markers, and molecular profiles (reflecting underlying biological heterogeneity), subsets of patients who are likely to experience better or poorer outcomes can be identified.
