Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a biologically and clinically heterogeneous B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that is highly responsive to induction chemoimmunotherapy. However, response duration is short for most patients.
To compare the effectiveness of two induction regimens and assess the role of maintenance immunotherapy in MCL, European investigators conducted a multinational phase III trial involving 560 nontransplant-eligible patients (age, ≥60) with previously untreated disease.
