Genitourinary and renal findings in Munchausen by proxy (MBP) cases have not been the subject of much research. A review of 135 MBP cases evaluated at a single center between 1974 and 2006 identified genitourinary of renal manifestations in 34 children (25%). In 5 children, these symptoms were the initial complaint. Fabrications began when the children were 11.6 months on average (age range, 0–95 months), and diagnosis was not made until they were 64.7 months on average (age range, 1–120 months).
