Each year, the editors of Journal Watch Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine choose the top 10 pediatric stories from our published summaries. This year, we provide three top 10 lists: Top 10 Editors’ Choice, Top 10 Residents’ Choice, and Top 10 Most Read Online.
A comparison of these lists identifies particular areas of overlap, including treatment of fever, guidelines on obesity and lipid screening, and information on soy formulas. In general, the editorial board chose topics of broad importance to child health, residents chose summaries that were most relevant to inpatient pediatrics, and the summaries viewed most often on our Web site were related to outpatient disorders, particularly infectious diseases.
