A worldwide resurgence in bedbug bites has occurred during the past decade. In a recent clinical review, researchers summarized current knowledge regarding health effects and pest control.
Description: Bedbugs (Cimex lectularius) are wingless parasites that are found in temperate and tropical regions and feed on birds and mammals (especially bats). Adults resemble ticks or small cockroaches, are reddish brown, and easily seen with the human eye. Immature bugs are light yellow. Bedbugs seek warmth; avoid light; and hide in mattresses, box springs, headboards, and walls.
