Nearly 60% of youths aged 13 to 24 years infected with HIV are unaware of their infection. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) investigators used national data from the National HIV Surveillance System (2009 and 2010), the .Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (2009 and 2011), and the National Health Interview Survey (2010) to develop a comprehensive profile of HIV risk behaviors, infection, and testing among youth aged 13 to 24 years.
