Although ovarian cancer is uncommon, late diagnosis makes this tumor the most lethal gynecologic malignancy. In this U.K. prospective cohort study, 950,000 postmenopausal women completed questionnaires about lifestyle factors (including the use of hormone therapy) once from 1996 to 2001 and again 3 years later. The women had no history of bilateral oophorectomy or ovarian cancer and were followed for incident ovarian cancer or death for about 5 or 7 years, respectively.
