Hormonal contraceptive methods not requiring daily dosing may offer more convenience and produce better adherence than oral contraceptive pills (OCPs). To assess women’s willingness to use the monthly contraceptive vaginal ring, researchers from this manufacturer-sponsored study sent an electronic survey to a random sample of first- and second-year students (age range, 18–30) at a large, urban, public university.
Of the 811 respondents (response rate, 30%), 691 who had ever used, currently used, or intended to use contraceptive methods for any reason were eligible.
