Evidence of excess risk for migraine headaches in women with endometriosis is emerging, but, in women with chronic pelvic pain in the absence of endometriosis, few data are available from which to draw reliable conclusions about an association. In a prospective study, investigators sought to determine migraine prevalence among women (age range, 17–45) who experienced chronic pelvic pain with (81) or without (27) documented endometriosis. Recurrent headaches were classified using International Headache Society (IHC) criteria after interviews by a neurologist.
