Strategies to lower primary cesarean rates should include offering external cephalic version (ECV) to women with term breech presentations. However, risk for cesarean delivery after successful ECV is still higher than in spontaneously cephalic-presenting pregnancies. To explore whether timing of delivery after successful ECV affects risk for cesarean delivery, investigators retrospectively reviewed clinical data on 502 women who underwent successful ECV at term (overall success rate, 64%) and delivered at one hospital in Israel.
