Programmed Death-1: Role as a Predictor

Programmed death 1 (PD-1) is highly expressed in follicular helper T cells that play an important role in regulating differentiation of germinal center B cells into plasma cells and memory B cells. A high density of programmed death-1 (PD-1) T cells in nodal follicular B-cell lymphomas has been associated with better prognosis. The potential prognostic role of PD-1 in cutaneous B-cell lymphomas (CBCLs) has not been known.
