Delivering cognitive-behavioral therapy via the Internet is effective for depression and anxiety disorders. This mode of delivery increases access to specialized treatment and reduces stigma. Could Internet delivery of other treatments also be useful? Because mindfulness treatment is not focused on symptom reduction and so is less specific to a given diagnosis, it might be a good candidate for Web-based delivery as it is broadly applicable to many disorders and firmly establishing diagnosis is unnecessary.
