Does Sirukumab Have a Therapeutic Role in Cutaneous and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus?
IL-6 appears to be involved in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE). The IL-6 antagonist sirukumab is a human monoclonal antibody administered intravenously that might be efficacious for both CLE and SLE patients.
