Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous disorder characterized by at least two of the following features: irregular menses, polycystic ovaries, and hyperandrogenism. Women with PCOS are at excess risk for various pregnancy complications. To examine this issue more closely, investigators compared singleton pregnancy outcomes in 459 women with PCOS who attended a private Danish infertility clinic with outcomes in a general population of 5409 women delivering at a large Danish hospital.
