Orofacial granulomatosis causes unsightly, often cosmetically disabling swelling of one or both lips and sometimes also the face. Effective treatment remains an unmet need. High-dose intralesional injections of highly concentrated triamcinolone acetonide may help, but comparing trial-based evidence was hampered by differences in study patients, outcome measures, administration schedules, drug concentration, duration of follow-up, and total dose.
