Intralesional triamcinolone acetonide therapy appears to reduce or eliminate swelling of orofacial granulomatosis.

Orofacial granulomatosis causes unsightly, often cosmetically disabling swelling of one or both lips and sometimes also the face. Effective treatment remains an unmet need. High-dose intralesional injections of highly concentrated triamcinolone acetonide may help, but comparing trial-based evidence was hampered by differences in study patients, outcome measures, administration schedules, drug concentration, duration of follow-up, and total dose.
