Despite guidelines recommending against imaging for monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis, renal/bladder ultrasonography continues to be obtained by urologists and pediatricians for evaluation of enuresis. Researchers retrospectively compared abnormalities identified on renal ultrasound between 279 children (age range, 5–17 years) who were referred to a urology clinic for monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis and an age- and sex-matched control group of 279 children without nocturnal enuresis.
