B-Lynch uterine compression suture placement has become more common for managing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), yet little is known about its effect on future pregnancies. In a 10-year retrospective cohort study at a single academic hospital, researchers evaluated women who experienced PPH in the index pregnancy and later had a subsequent pregnancy of ≥24 weeks' gestation. Incidence of a composite of placentation-related adverse outcomes in the second pregnancy was compared for women who received a B-Lynch suture in the index pregnancy versus those who did not.
