Effective treatment for patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL) remains an important unmet need in non-Hodgkin lymphoma therapy. Now, investigators have conducted an industry-sponsored, multicenter, phase II trial to test the activity of the histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor belinostat (1 g/m2 administered intravenously daily for 5 days every 3 weeks) in 120 evaluable patients with relapsed T-cell lymphoma who had received a median of two prior treatments.
