In patients with moderate or severe comorbidities, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) has a number of well-defined toxicities, including increasing rates of metabolic syndrome and osteoporosis. In addition, the impact on cardiovascular morbidity is strongly suspected, but the available evidence to date is mixed.
