CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders (CD30+ LPD) include cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (cALCL) and lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP). An intralymphatic variant of ALCL has recently been reported. These authors explore the presence of intralymphatic tumor in these lymphomas and the clinical meaning of this histologic finding.
They reviewed 60 ALCL cases (37 cALCL, 15 with unknown staging, 4 with concomitant regional lymph node involvement, 4 with skin involvement and systemic ALCL), and 16 cases of LyP, defined per the WHO classification of hematopoietic disorders.
