Success in the management of a child or adolescent with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is dependent on maximizing adherence to a treatment plan. To determine whether parent-child group visits in a pediatric office setting would improve family adherence to follow-up office visits for ADHD patients, investigators conducted a pilot study involving 20 families, each having at least one child (6–14 years old) with ADHD.
Families were randomized to group visits (intervention group) or typical pediatric care (controls). Each intervention group included up to six families.
