Key Recommendations

Routine Monitoring

• In addition to routine immunizations and seasonal influenza vaccination, administer pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine 8 weeks after the last pneumococcal conjugate vaccine dose.

Pulmonary Disease Surveillance

• Evidence is insufficient to recommend for or against pulse oximetry, routine monitoring of bronchodilator responsiveness, and multiple-breath washout testing.
