Team-focused cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a choreographed method that emphasizes quality chest compressions and early defibrillation and discourages endotracheal intubation during CPR. These authors retrospectively studied the impact of North Carolina's statewide implementation of team-focused CPR on survival and neurological outcomes.
Implementation of team-focused CPR included resuscitation academies for healthcare providers from every link in the chain of survival; train-the-trainer sessions; resuscitation tool kits; training videos; and targeted emergency medical services provider training based on survival rates.
