Traditional syndromes stemming from diverticulosis include diverticulitis, diverticular bleeding, and symptomatic diverticular disease, with the latter now often described as symptomatic, uncomplicated diverticular disease (SUDD), meaning the presence of symptoms without diverticulitis or colitis.
