“I kept asking myself: What is going on? What am I doing wrong? Why won't my baby stop crying?” In this week's In Practice blog post, Emily Moore, a pediatric cardiovascular care nurse practitioner and mother of a newborn with colic, advises pediatric practitioners (including herself, from now on) to listen carefully to parents with colicky babies and to communicate three important things: Their child's crying is normal, having a colicky baby is really hard, and they are doing everything right in the circumstances.
