Dr. Mark Wainberg, the virologist who most recently led the HIV research program at McGill University, unexpectedly died on April 11. In the latest HIV and ID Observations blog post, Dr. Paul Sax highlights Dr. Wainberg's most notable achievement — identifying the drug that became critical to successfully treating patients with HIV.
