HIV and ID Observations.
MMWR recently published strategies for preventing HIV infection in women attempting to conceive with HIV-infected men. In the latest HIV and ID Observations blog post, Dr. Paul Sax calls the paper both “welcome” and “very strange” because it acknowledges that serodiscordant couples may wish to have children without the use of an HIV-negative sperm donor but still recommends sperm washing. Do you still recommend this process?
