Computed tomography angiography (CTA) can detect anatomic coronary disease, whereas stress testing provides functional evidence of ischemia. But how do the two approaches compare for evaluating patients with suspected coronary artery disease? In this meta-analysis, researchers used pooled data from 13 trials in which CTA was compared with functional stress testing to assess cardiovascular outcomes in more than 10,000 patients with stable or acute chest pain.
