Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is clinically heterogeneous, with differing outcomes predicted in part by the cell of origin (COO), whether activated B-cell (ABC), germinal center B-cell (GCB), or unclassified.
Now, investigators have expanded DLBCL subtypes by analyzing frozen samples of 574 diagnostic biopsies using genome and transcriptome sequencing, deep amplicon resequencing of a 372-gene panel, and DNA copy-number analysis. Clinical outcomes were analyzed for 240 patients who had received front-line R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) chemotherapy or a similar regimen.
