Information about outcomes of infants whose mothers take psychotropic medications while breast-feeding is currently limited to selective drugs and small-sample-size studies. This Israeli prospective cohort study compared baseline data on 280 mothers who consecutively called a drug consultation center regarding chronic psychotropic medication monotherapy while breast-feeding and a comparison group of 152 who called regarding antibiotic monotherapy.
