Full-spectrum endoscopy (FUSE) is a colonoscopy system with a wider viewing angle (330°) than conventional colonoscopes (range, 140°–170°). Previous studies show mixed results with regards to the benefit of FUSE for adenoma detection. To investigate this issue further, researchers conducted an industry-funded, multicenter, tandem colonoscopy trial comparing a newer-generation FUSE system (with improved image resolution) with standard forward-viewing colonoscopy.
