Colonoscopy is associated with lower levels of prevention against right-sided compared with left-sided colon cancer, and a “second look” has been proposed to increase adenoma detection in the right colon. This can be done in forward view or in retroflexion. A previous randomized, controlled trial (Am J Gastroenterol 2015; 110:415) showed no significant difference between the two maneuvers in the proportion of patients with ≥1 additional adenoma detected on second examination.
